The Digital Public Health Project is based at the UBC Centre for Disease Control and is part of the Digital & Sexual Health Initiative. Our project team includes and works with researchers, trainees, educators, community organizations, and public health professionals with a common interest in digital public health.
We respectfully acknowledge that our core team is based on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As a team based in a provincial health organization, we also acknowledge our responsibility to uphold the rights of Indigenous peoples, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis people across the province of British Columbia.
Our research on digital public health started in 2019 and grew out of our team’s experience and ongoing work developing, implementing and researching digital services for sexual health and conversations with public health colleagues at the BC Centre for Disease Control using digital technologies in their practice.
We’re interested in exploring collaborations with other research teams (at UBC, in Canada, or anywhere in the world really) working in this space. If you’re interested in connecting with us, please contact us at the email below!
